Youth Trades Fair Coming to Durham:

DURHAM -- As part of its program to get more youth interested in skilled trades, the John Howard Society of Durham Region will be hosting a Youth Skilled Trades Fair. No longer considered solely the industry of the blue collar worker, skilled trades are being marketed to youth as exciting and viable career options.
The fair is designed to go beyond the traditional information booth layout and will include demonstrations, activities and full exhibits. More than 1,500 youth and 40 exhibitors from across Durham Region are expected to participate in the event. Those interested can join in the fun at the Oshawa Civic Auditorium on Tuesday, Feb. 28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
